As the Spring Festival approaches, to allow international students staying on campus to immerse themselves in the charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture and promote the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations, NTVU has organized international students from various countries such as Indonesia, Namibia, South Africa, Pakistan, Laos and Vietnam to participate in a series of activities including cultural practice at the Overseas Chinese Library, cultural exchange during a night tour of Haohe River, and Spring Festival folk custom experience in Chenqiao Sub-district. Students enjoyed the Chinese New Year flavor and gained warmth and growth through voluntary services, getting close to nature and experiencing folk customs.
On February 11th, with the careful organization of the Overseas Chinese Library, Indonesian international students of NTVU carried out a meaningful cultural practice activity. During the activity, the students visited the Overseas Chinese Materials Museum and the Overseas Chinese Cultural Relics Collection Hall successively. Through various cultural relics and historical materials, they deeply felt the spirit of struggle of overseas Chinese. In the Chinese book drift area, everyone took the initiative to participate in voluntary services such as book sorting and shelving, practiced the original intention of public welfare with practical actions, and deepened their understanding and recognition of Chinese language and culture in practice. The volunteers accompanied them thoughtfully and communicated sincerely, making the students far away from their motherland truly feel the warmth of home.

On the evening of February 11th, the "Light and Shadow Haohe · Spring in Paintings" Chinese and foreign cultural exchange activity was held on Haohe River in Nantong. International students from Laos, Pakistan, South Africa and other countries boarded the boat for a night tour together with Chinese and foreign friends. In the dazzling night view of Haohe River, they enjoyed the real-scene performance immersive and listened to the stories of the city. At the event, everyone made Year of the Horse Song Brocade pendants by hand, felt the beauty of traditional craftsmanship through the experience of intangible cultural heritage handcrafts, and celebrated the Year of the Horse Spring Festival in a unique way. The night and laughter interweaved, becoming a beautiful scenery along the Haohe River.

On February 12th, the "Our Festival · Spring Festival" Chinese and foreign cultural exchange and the 3rd Chinese and foreign cultural exchange activity themed "Steeds Gallop to Welcome the Spring Festival, Civilization Exchanges and Mutual Learning to Celebrate a Bumper Year" was held at Chenqiao Culture and Sports Square in Chongchuan District. More than 1,000 people including international students from various countries of NTVU gathered together to enjoy folk customs and celebrate the Spring Festival in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere. The rich and colorful folk custom displays, interactive experiences and cultural performances allowed international students to intuitively feel the lively atmosphere and profound heritage of the Chinese Spring Festival, and further narrowed the distance with local people.

This series of Spring Festival cultural activities is not only a practical measure for NTVU to implement humanistic care for international students and enrich their holiday life, but also a vivid practice to promote Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges and tell Chinese stories well. In the process of experiencing these activities, international students have further integrated into the campus and Nantong, and enhanced their love for excellent traditional Chinese culture. In the future, the school will continue to build more cultural exchange platforms to help overseas students grow and become talents, and promote the mutual understanding and integration of civilizations.
