In order to enrich the connotation of the achievements in the education field of the China & South Africa high-level people-to-people exchange mechanism, continue to promote the development of the China & Africa (South Africa) Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance, promote the integration of education & industry in China & Africa, especially China & South Africa, and the training of technical and skilled personnel, and promote the mutual understanding of the people of all parties and friendship between them, the 2021 Annual Conference of China & Africa (South Africa) Technical and Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance and Education & Industry Integration Seminar was successfully held in Changzhou, Jiangsu on December 13^th~15^th. The conference is jointly sponsored by the China-Foreign People-to-People Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education of China and the South African Industry and Manufacturing Training Agency, and organized by the Changzhou College of Information Technology, the South African Teacher Development Center, and the South African Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Center. The leaders of the International Department and the Career Development Department of the Ministry of Education of China, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and other relevant departments attended the meeting. The leaders from the International Department and the Vocational and Adult Education Division of the Ministry of Education of China, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and other relevant departments attended the meeting.  Nearly 200 people including representatives of alliance member units, relevant universities, Think Tanks and enterprises attended the meeting on site. More than 10,000 people from China and South Africa participated in the event online.

The conference summarized the great role played by the China & Africa (South Africa) Vocational Education Cooperation Alliance since its establishment three years ago in promoting China & Africa educational cooperation and cultural exchanges, cultivating technical and skilled talents in China and South Africa, and serving the construction of “the Belt and Road”. At the same time, focusing on China & Africa (South Africa) vocational education cooperation, all the guests brainstormed and contributed their wisdom to explore ideas and ways to further enrich the connotation of the high-level people-to-people and cultural exchange mechanism between China and South Africa, and to promote China & South Africa educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

    At the meeting, our university was approved as the governing unit of the alliance. Vice President Dai Shiming was invited to attend the roundtable forum specially set up at the meeting. As the only representative of higher vocational colleges, she made a keynote speech on overseas education of higher vocational colleges. Taking the Namibian cooperative school running project of our university as an example, vice president Dai Shiming introduced the successful experience of school-government-enterprise cooperation in cultivating high-quality skilled talents. Taking the cooperation between our university and AVIC International as an example, she then expounded the ways of school-enterprise cooperation to export high-quality vocational education resources and help African vocational education upgrade and reform. Finally, taking the construction planning of Jiangsu Namibian College of our university as an example, she described the model and prospect of  overseas education of higher vocational colleges. She pointed out that overseas education of higher vocational colleges must rely on enterprises in order to improve quality and efficiency, and achieve stability and long-term development.
